I had not anticipated leading a Pilgrimage to Rome during the Holy Year 2025 given that so many hotels, flights, and tours will have been booked long in advance. It is estimated that some 35 million pilgrims will make the journey to Rome for the Holy Year, crossing the thresholds of the four Papal Basilicas (St Peter, St Paul, St John Lateran, and St Mary Major) and their Holy Doors and visiting the tombs of St Peter and St Paul.

Tangney Tours were in touch with me this past week to ask if I would lead a Holy Year Pilgrimage and I have agreed to do so. There are places available for parishioners, should anyone wish to go. This Pilgrimage will be open to other parishes across England and Wales, too. The dates are Tuesday 30 September until Friday 3 October 2025.
