Painting the Franciscan Friary at Pantasaph.

'Francis, go repair my church which you can see is in ruins'
(Words of Christ from the cross to St Francis of Assisi)

On Saturday 5th April a group of willing volunteers from St Saviour's answered a modern day call to 'repair' the church. This involved a day of painting in the Franciscan Friary at Pantasaph in order to make the upper floor habitable as a retreat centre. A truly incredible amount of work was carried out, completing phase 1 of the job. Fr Louis, the Friary Guardian, expressed his amazement at what was achieved, and also his gratitude to all for a hard day's work.

The next phase of the painting job is now in the planning, no date is presently set but if you can spare any time to join a very willing & cheery group of volunteers please leave your details at the Parishes Office or speak with Deacon Tony on 339 9684 or contact the Four Parishes office on 347 9342. This is a very good cause in helping to secure the future of a place of prayer & spirituality at a time when such places face very challenging times.
